A setup board is one of those pit tools that gets used every single race day but rarely gets thought about much. Weight matters more than most people expect — when you’re carrying gear from your car to the pit, every gram you can cut from equipment that isn’t the car itself is worth cutting. Koswork makes three extra lightweight setup boards, each sized for a specific class of car, and all of them come in significantly under the weight of other boards at the same dimensions. Durable enough for regular race day use, light enough that you’ll actually notice the difference when you’re carrying everything in.
For 1/8 Buggy, On-Road GT & Truggy: KOS18001SET
The KOS18001SET is the largest of the three, sized at 455×570×10mm to cover the full footprint of 1/8 buggy, 1/8 on-road GT, and 1/8 truggy. At only 1,410g, it runs well below the 2,000–2,300g you’d expect from other boards at the same size. The surface is flat and smooth for accurate suspension setup, and the tough plastic decal is applied with clear 1mm markings so you can read your settings quickly without squinting. The decal is included and built to handle regular use without peeling or fading. The board ships packed in a bubble bag for protection, and an optional setup bag — the KOS32232 — is available separately if you want a dedicated carry solution. Made in Taiwan.
For 1/10 & 1/8 Buggy and On-Road: KOS18005SET
The KOS18005SET steps down to 400×480×10mm, covering 1/10 and 1/8 buggy and on-road cars — and anything smaller. At 1,113g it’s well under the 1,400–1,700g range for other boards of this size. Same flat surface, same tough plastic decal with accurate 1mm markings, same bubble bag packaging. This size also fits most car bags that include a setup board pocket, including the KOS32242 and KOS32282 hauler bags, so you don’t need to carry it separately if your bag already has the pocket. Made in Taiwan.
For 1/10 Touring and Sedan: KOS18007SET
The KOS18007SET is the compact option at 300×400×10mm, designed for 1/10 touring cars, 1/10 sedans, 1/12 cars, and anything in that range. At just 654g with decal applied, it’s dramatically lighter than the 1,100–1,400g you’d expect from other setup boards at this size. Koswork also uses this size internally for 1/10 buggy setup, where the fit is tight but workable. It fits most car bags that include a setup board pocket, so it integrates cleanly into your existing carry system without adding a separate piece of equipment. Made in Taiwan.
